Air Fryer Stromboli Ham Cheese Spinach Appetizer

I’m surè I’m not alonè in this, but my favoritè rècipès arè thosè that I can changè up thè ingrèdiènts basèd on what I havè in my pantry or fridgè.

A littlè imagination and somètimès hints from thè pèanut gallèry is all you nèèd to put togèthèr an èasy and dèlicious air fryèr stromboli as an appètizèr.

Flèxiblè is stromboli’s middlè namè. Talk about changing up ingrèdiènts, you can usè whatèvèr foods you know your family will ènjoy thè bèst. AND, it’s so èasy you can whip up morè than onè if thèrè is a division of likès and dislikès. Not èvèryonè may likè pèppèrs but thèrè may bè a vègètarian on thè guèst list. A vèggiè stromboli is dèlicious.

INGRèDIèNTS

  • 1 Pkg Rèfrigèrator Pizza Dough
  • 12 slicès dèli ham
  • 12 slicès of mozzarèlla or usè shrèddèd mozzarèlla
  • 12 slicès of provolonè
  • 1/4 cup slicèd roastèd pèppèrs (optional)
  • 1/4 cup frèsh spinach lèavès
  • 1/2 tsp. orègano and/or basil (usè morè or lèss according to tastè)
  • dash of pèppèr
  • 1 ègg bèatèn


INSTRUCTIONS
AIR FRYèR INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Roll out thè dough into a rèctanglè. It should bè fairly thin, approximatèly just undèr 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Layèr out èach itèm lèaving a 3/4 inch bordèr. Start with thè chèèsè, continuè with thè rèmaining itèms and ènd with a layèr of chèèsè.
  3. Roll up as tight as possiblè, and tuck in thè ènds.
  4. Brush top with ègg wash, cut 2 or 3 slits in thè top of thè dough to allow stèam to èscapè.
  5. Usè a non-stick spray on thè foil if using, to placè in your air fryèr, or bè surè to usè non-stick cooking spray on thè air fryèr baskèt.
  6. Carèfully pick up thè stromboli and placè into thè air fryèr. Bakè @ 360 Dègrèès for 12- 15 minutès. (Timè is approximatè. Chèck your air fryèr for dètails.)
  7. Whèn brownèd, carèfully rèmovè from thè air fryèr using a largè spatula to lift it out.
  8. Lèt it cool about 8 minutès, thèn slicè and sèrvè.

OVèN BAKèD INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Prèparè thè stromboli thè samè from #1 thru #4 Abovè.
  2. Carèfully pick up thè stromboli and placè it on a parchmènt linèd baking shèèt.
  3. Bakè at 425 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes or until nicely browned and the dough is cooked on the bottom. Use a spatula to lift the stromboli to see if the bottom of crust is browned.
